Our most recent addition to the Amethyst Inn in Savannah GA is the Lantana Room. It is a small room, cozy and bright. It is located next to the Rose Room. There is a queen bed, antique dresser and a sitting chair. There is a small television and ample-sized closet. And, of course, a ceiling fan -- a must in Savannah. The private bathroom has a shower, plus a vanity sink is in the bedroom. The Lantana Room is one of four bedrooms located off a central sitting area. We also have a phone available to make any calls, and long distance is included at our Savannah inn.

This room is a little larger then the Lantana Room,it is also very cozy and bright. It has a queen, 18th Century Victorian reproduction bed. For shorter quests*, we have a 3-step ladder to assist them in getting into the bed. It is a very comfortable bed. (A few of our guests have even asked if they could purchase it.) An antique dresser, sitting char, television and full-sized closet add to the room’s comforts. There is a ceiling fan, ornamental fireplace and a decorative large mirror above the fireplace. The private bathroom has a shower. This room is next to the Lantana Room.

We also have a phone available for anyone’s need to make any calls, and long distance is included.

*You may find it interesting that the Victorian mansion was built for less-tall owners. Check out the low level of the handrail on the staircase.

Camellia Bedroom

New Porch has just been added to appear as it was back in 1888.
This room is a little larger than the Rose Room. It has a queen cherry sleigh bed. There is an antique marble-topped sideboard – purchased at Jere’s Aniques* in Savannah, as were many of our antique pieces at the inn. There are two wing back chairs, television, and ample sized closet. This bed and breakfast room has an ornamental fireplace . The private, tiled bathroom is freshly updated and features a whirlpool tub/shower (standard size). This room is off the central sitting area where there is a phone with unlimited long distance.

*Jere’s Antiques is a must-see destination while visiting Savannah.

Magnolia Bedroom

This is our largest of the four 2nd floor bedrooms at our Savannah GA inn. It offers a king bed. With enough notice, this room can be split into two twin beds. There is an antique armoire (yes, from Jere’s Antiques in Savannah), and also an antique vanity. There are two comfortable chairs opposite a corner cabinet housing the television. This bedroom has a ceiling fan and an ornamently electric fireplace. The private bathroom has a corner shower and a pedestal sink. The inn’s MAGNOLIA bedroom is located across from the Lantana Bedroom and next to the Camellia Bedroom. It is off of the sitting room with access to the phone with unlimited local and long distance.

Hydrangea Suite

Garden Level, 2-Bedroom QUEEN bed and breakfast suite, especially family-friendly or excellent lodging accommodations for friends traveling together. This is our largest suite. It features a private garden entrance and full-size kitchen. One bedroom has a four-poster Queen bed, electric fireplace, couch, dresser, table and chairs for two. The smaller second bedroom has a queen bed. The private bathroom has a whirlpool tub/shower.

Dahlia Suite

This suite is considered our most elegant suite, painted in majestic blue with hand stenciled gold trim. It is perfect for any special occasion, especially a wedding engagement, honeymoon or romantic getaway. There is a queen four-poster canopy bed. There is an ornamental fireplace with seating, plus a separate sitting room with sofa and television. Ceiling fans are in both rooms. The private bathroom has a whirlpool tub/short (standard size). There is a refrigerator, microwave, and nice counter space in the kitchenette for special snacks. A round marble-topped table in the suite accommodates an intimate or special occasion in-room lunch or dinner.

Geranium Suite

$205 nightly, plus 13% tax
2nd floor Queen Bed and Breakfast Inn Suite
This is our smallest bed and breakfast suite. It is located on the main, 2nd floor parlor level. The bedroom has a queen bed. There is an armoire for storage and an ornamental fireplace. There is a separate sitting room with a desk, sofa, television and ceiling fan. The private bathroom was recently renovated with uniquely designed tiled shower. The inn’s parlor level features two spacious, southern veranda-style porches to enjoy sitting outdoors for some quiet conversation or time to catch up on some reading.

This breakfast inn room is an excellent choice for a bride readying for a small wedding at this Savannah inn, or in nearby Whitfield Square or Forsyth Park.
