We are happy to share with you various Savannah itinerary recommendations. Once we learn your interests -- food, arts, culture, history, sightseeing, gardens, outdoor adventures, art, music, etc. -- we will gladly make personal recommendations for your personal Savannah itinerary.  Then, we'll be your personal assistant to secure your desired Savannah reservations.

Meanwhile, here's a quick rundown of a typical DAY ONE to get you oriented to Savannah -- a hip and historic, classic to eclectic and mesmerizing and beautiful southern city in America's Deep South!

  1. Take a Tour: Get to know Savannah by experiencing a city tour, with front door pickup. This will help you get better acquainted with our genteel Southern beauty and give you a sample of the attractions you will want to explore on your own. Lunch in the Historic District where local dining restaurants and cafes will tempt your taste buds with southern cuisine or almost any international favorite.  Dine outdoors at a European style cafe or eat in one of the Historic District's restored buildings, all special with their own quirky charm -- from City Market, River Street, Broughton Street, East Broad Street, Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard or along the Bull Street corridor.
  2. Lace Up Your Walking Shoes: You've taken the city tour and sampled some great Low Country cuisine, so now it's time to get a closer look at some of Savannah's magnificent architecture and 22 splendid squares. Get out your map and plan your route! The Bull and Abercorn Street corridors are a good start -- and there are ample spots along the way for snacks and artisan refreshments. These routes take you past some of Savannah's famous landmarks and nine of our 21 squares.  Near City Market is Ellis Square, rebuilt as a downtown entertainment square and opened to the public in March 2010.  Make sure you visit beautiful Forsyth Park, one of Savannah's signature landmarks.

Then, of course, return to Amethyst Inn at Sarah's Gardens for your a comfortable night to savor your day!
